Global Patterns There is a drastic climate
difference from the coast and in through the mountains. On the Coast during the
summer is very dry and hot. During the winter on the coast the temperature is
warm and rainy. In the mountains and high areas, summer is hot, sunny and dry.
In the winter and spring, the mountains and high areas are usually cold and
snowy. In Mt. Ararat, Thunderstorms are very frequent and violent and is mainly
due to the steep rise above the terrain and the mountains isolation. (This graph on the left shows that during the summer it is hot and during the winter it is cold. Also the graph on the right shows that the annual precipitation correlates with the temperature which is that it rains more in the winter and spring time than it does in the summer.)
Topography/Geological Features - The bodies of water that borders the country of Turkey include the Black Sea, the Mediterranean, the Aegean and the Marmara Sea. The countries that border Turkey are Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq, and Syri |
